As of 2024, WWE promotes three men's world championships. Two of them, the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship, are held and defended together as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the SmackDown brand. The third is the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw.

There are currently 20 championships in WWE divided among the three brands. Raw has a primary, secondary, and tag team championship for male wrestlers and a primary and secondary championship for female wrestlers.

The Undisputed WWE Championship is widely recognized as the most historic championship in WWE. Dating back to 1963, the WWE Championship was first awarded to Buddy Rogers after he defeated Antonino Rocca in the finals of a tournament in April.
