A car went off the road near East Washington Street during the snowfall Wednesday afternoon and ended up partially submerged in a creek.

Suffolk firefighters acted quickly to rescue two people after their SUV went off the road and into the water on Wednesday afternoon

SUFFOLK, Va. — Two people were rescued from an icy creek in Suffolk as snow began to fall in Hampton Roads, according to the city's fire department. The vehicle crashed into the water shortly after 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday near East Washington Street and Hollywood Avenue.
