OpenAI and SoftBank's "Stargate" took the world by storm after announcing the $500 billion project, which they are collaborating with Oracle and MGX. While making the announcement, the ChatGPT maker indicated that up to $100 billion had already been injected into the project to facilitate the construction of data centers across the United States to bolster sophisticated AI advances.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has distanced himself from Elon Musk and Sam Altman’s dispute about funding for the President Trump–backed Stargate Project.

The rivalry between Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has only added to the controversy surrounding Stargate. Musk, who cofounded OpenAI in 2015 before splitting from the organization, has openly clashed with Altman on social media, calling him a “swindler” and resurfacing Altman’s past criticism of Trump.

Elon Musk reacted to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s comments regarding the $500 billion Stargate AI project, questioning its funding. Nadella affirmed Microsoft’s investment.

I’m not particularly in the details on what they’re investing,” Satya Nadella said, referring to the Stargate initiative.

The development is the latest after Elon Musk, the richest person in the world and the chief of Donald Trump's new Department of Government Efficiency, announced on X that SoftBank has only under $10 billion to invest in Stargate.
