The New York Jets have since hired Tanner Engstrand as their offensive coordinator on Aaron Glenn's coaching staff. At one point, it was believed that the Jets wanted to hire Nick Caley for that position.

According to reports, the Texans plan to hire Rams tight end coach and passing-game coordinator Nick Caley as their next offensive coordinator. Caley, a fan-favorite to land the job, will replace Bobby Slowik, who was fired after two seasons.

Nick Caley worked with tight end Rob Gronkowski in New England and QB Matthew Stafford in Los Angeles on his NFL path to the Texans.
