State Senator Bradford Blackmon's bill would make it "unlawful" for someone to ejaculate without "the intent to fertilize an embryo."

JACKSON, Miss. ( WLBT /Gray News) - A Mississippi state senator has filed a bill titled the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act.” The bill, written by Sen. Bradford Blackman, would make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.”

Mississippi state Sen. Bradford Blackmon, a Democrat, introduced a bill that would seemingly ban men from masturbating or other sexual acts that are not performed for "the intent to fertilize an embryo.

Democratic Sen. Bradford Blackmon was troubled that all the bills in the U.S. related to reproduction and abortion were solely aimed at women. So, he decided to hold men accountable, too, with the Contraception Begins at Erection Act.

The bill introduced would impose fines of up to $10,000 on men who engage in unprotected sex without the goal of pregnancy.
