The Detroit Lions signed former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ronnie Bell to a reserve/futures contract. Bell, who finished the season on the Niners practice squad, was not among San Francisco’s practice squad players to immediately ink reserve/futures contract following the season.

The Lions have added another name to the growing list of players signed to reserve/future contracts now that the season has ended. Former San Francisco 49ers wideout Ronnie Bell agreed to sign with the Lions.

The Detroit Lions have signed former San Francisco 49ers wideout Ronnie Bell to a futures contract. After being drafted in the seventh-round of the 2023 NFL draft, the former Michigan Wolverines wideout has secured eight receptions for 90 yards and three touchdowns playing for the NFC West squad.

The Detroit Lions have wasted no time in preparing their roster for the 2025 season. They’ve already signed 11 of their former practice squad players to futures deals, as well as signing defensive back Morice Norris back for another year.
