Walt Disney Animation Studios, in a significant leadership shift, on Thursday named Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jared Bush as its new chief creative officer, effective immediately.

Disney Animation chief creative officer Jennifer Lee is ready to step out of the executive role and get creative again. She is stepping down from her role as the studio’s CCO so that she can put her full focus and attention on writing and directing Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 .
