NFL triple-header is underway, as the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots have kicked off from Foxborough. The Chargers can clinch a playoff berth today with a win, but this defense will have to contain Drake Maye.

Week 17 of the 2024 NFL season kicked off a bit early with a Christmas Day doubleheader Wednesday featuring the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens dominating the Houston Texans.

Netflix set records as the most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history while the NBA had its best holiday numbers in five years according to Nielsen. The NFL and Nielsen said 65 million U.S. viewers tuned in for at least one minute of one of the two NFL games.

According to preliminary Nielsen numbers, which don't include international viewers, this Christmas Day broke NFL all-time streaming records. Once the international viewership numbers come in, the record margin will be even higher.

Netflix's NFL streaming debut was a roaring success. The streaming giants agreed to a lucrative deal with the NFL for the right to stream a pair of games on Christmas, and things couldn't have gone better for either party.
