Four people died after a shooting Sunday in south Wichita, a Sedgwick County Emergency Communications supervisor said. Shortly before 8 p.m., Wichita police posted on X that they were investigating a shooting inside a home.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Investigators are currently in south Wichita, where five people have died. According to the Wichita Police Department, just before 6 p.m., they received a call about a death in the 1700 block of Santa Fe. When officers arrived, they found a man dead of apparent gunshot wounds inside a home.

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Police are investigating after four people were found dead in south Wichita on Sunday evening. Sedgwick County dispatch confirms that three people were found dead at a home in the 1900 block of South Laura. Another person was found dead in a related incident in the 1700 block of Santa Fe.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - One person is dead following a shooting early Sunday at a north Wichita bar. The shooting happened just before 2 am at a bar near 26th and Broadway. When officers arrived, Wichita Police said one person was found shot, and EMS declared them dead on the scene. The victim was in their mid-30s.

The investigation is still ongoing (and) everything we are giving you is preliminary … we do believe all the victims in this were known to each other, either as family or friends,” Wichita police spokesperson Andrew Ford said.
