Police were called just before 12:30 p.m. about a reckless driver, driving in the wrong direction in the area of Lone Star and Highway 287.

A man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he led police on a high-speed chase during which he fired multiple shots at officers, according to Mansfield police. No officers were injured. The chase ended near the intersection of East Broad Street and Texas 360 in Mansfield shortly after 1 p.
