Remarkably, Ringo Starr played a new stage Friday night. Six-plus decades into his career, Starr made his debut this weekend on the so-called “show that made country music famous” – the Grand Ole Opry.

It was a historic weekend at the Grand Ole Opry. Legendary Beatle's star, Ringo Star made his debut. Of all his accolades, he said that standing in the circle was a dream come true! He told the crowd that he is truly a cowboy on the inside.

Spry for a man in his mid-80s, Starr strolled onto the stage wearing head-to-toe black except for a large, silver Western belt buckle and a substantial white cowboy hat that he promptly bumped against the microphone by accident. He removed it almost immediately. Starr received a standing ovation as soon as he walked on stage.
