Trevor Immelman, the 2008 Masters champion and current golf broadcast analyst, will take over as chair of the Official World Golf Ranking on April 10, its board announced Tuesday.

The OWGR's accuracy has been called into question as well as whether it should remain a measuring stick for handing out exemptions into the majors.

The Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) has named a former Masters champion as its new Chairman. Trevor Immelman, who won the Green Jacket in 2008, will succeed Peter Dawson and take the reins of the rankings body on April 10.
