KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — United Way of Greater Knoxville announced Monday that Matt Ryerson, president and CEO, is stepping down from his position to "pursue other professional opportunities."

The United Way of Greater Knoxville announced on Monday its board of directors had accepted CEO Matt Ryerson’s resignation. Ryerson was hired in December 2019 and served as CEO of the UWGK for five years.

The United Way of Greater Knoxville is in search of a new leader after accepting the resignation of current CEO Matt Ryerson.

Chief Impact Officer Chrystal Armstrong Brown has been named interim CEO, and the board will search for a replacement.
