Macworld iOS 18.4 is destined to be a big release. The headline feature of iOS 18 is Apple Intelligence, and the various AI features have been rolling out piece by piece. After getting no major new AI features in iOS 18.

The update -- available only for beta testers -- introduces several enhancements to Apple Intelligence, Apple News+, and more.

In another newsroom announcement, Apple also announced that it’s bringing a new Food section to its Apple News+ subscription service. This will launch with iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, giving subscribers access to “tens of thousands of recipes” and “stories about restaurants, healthy eating, kitchen essentials, and more.”

Macworld Apple websites in many countries where Engish is not the primary language now show that Apple Intelligence will be available in early April, which likely coincides with the release of iOS 18.

It’s rare for Apple to share timelines for software updates far in advance, but that’s exactly what’s happened with iOS 18.4’s release date.
