The Dell data breach – originally reported by the BleepingComputer website – was posted by the grep profile on a data breach community forum. It said that Dell had suffered a “minor data breach that exposed internal employees data”, before going on to state that more than 10,800 Dell employees and their partners had been affected.

Dell Technologies has allegedly suffered two data breaches since Thursday amounting to a breach of over 3.5GB of data belonging to at least 10,000 company employees.

Information leaked by grep on BreachForums included Dell employees' full names, IDs, active status, department numbers, and internal identifiers, as well as two email addresses with the "dell.com" domain but no plain text credentials or personally identifiable information.

Computer manufacturing giant Dell is looking into claims that its infrastructure was breached and sensitive data on thousands of employees stolen. Late last week, a threat actor with the alias ‘grep’ posted a new thread on the infamous dark web forum BreachForums.
