Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus admitted that he had gambled by leaving key players at home ahead of South Africa's 29-28 Rugby Championship defeat against Argentina at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades on Saturday.

Argentina beat the world champions South Africa 29-28 in an incredible test match at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades on Saturday evening.

A late penalty could have won them the game, but South Africa can still win the title if they get one point from the return match next week.
