Tennis legend Roger Federer will ‘consider’ coming out of retirement for one last exhibition match against Rafael Nadal, says his agent Tony Godsick. Federer, 43, played his last professional event at the 2022 Laver Cup in London and it is reported he’s weighing up a possible return in a non-playing role.

Roger Federer ’s agent is hoping that the 20-time Grand Slam champion can make a proper return to the Laver Cup with Rafael Nadal by his side. Federer and Tony Godsick co-created the team tournament seven years ago. In 2022, the Swiss star retired at the Laver Cup after joining forces with Nadal for an emotional doubles match.

Federer has embarked on several exhibition tours. Before going under the knife in 2020, he invited Nadal to play a record-breaking match in South Africa in front of 51,954 people. Federer previously faced Alexander Zverev in a Mexican exhibition with a capacity of 42,517.
