The Sun continued making moves on Tuesday, signing former All-Star and WNBA champion Diamond DeShields to a one-year deal. Connecticut also flipped Rebecca Allen to Chicago in exchange for seven-year veteran Lindsay Allen and the rights to Serbian international Nikolina Milić.

Tina Charles said she felt like she was dreaming as she was reintroduced Wednesday with the Sun, the team that drafted her first overall in 2010.

Charles will join Marina Mabrey and Natasha Cloud as the core of the team. The Sun lost all five starters from last season’s squad through free agency or trades. Brionna Jones and DeWanna Bonner left to Atlanta and Indiana, respectively, via free agency. The Sun traded DiJonai Carrington and Ty Harris to Dallas. Alyssa Thomas was traded to Phoenix.
