Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have started announcing results from polling units in the ongoing governorship election in Edo State. Voting has ended in most polling units and results are being counted and announced in the presence of party agents and voters.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has directed its members and supporters in Edo State to follow the results of the ongoing governorship election from the polling units to the ward, local government and state collation centers to prevent any manipulation or alteration by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
