Christopher Nolan's next movie is official. The Oscar winner will write and direct a feature film adaptation of The Odyssey.

Universal Pictures has announced that Christopher Nolan’s next movie will be The Odyssey, a “mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology” which will arrive in theatres on July 17,

Universal Pictures announced Christopher Nolan's next film will be truly epic. He's bringing Homer to the big screen with his version of The Odyssey.

Nolan is also behind epic films including “Inception,” “The Dark Knight,” “Dunkirk” and his most recent film “Oppenheimer,” which scored big at last year’s Oscars when it took home the trophy for best picture. Nolan won that award as a producer, and also took home the Academy Award for best director.

In November, multiple outlets reported that Zendaya , Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon will star in Nolan’s next work. The movie marks several on-screen reunions, including the one between real-life couple Zendaya and Holland, who starred in the Spider-Man movies together, most recently, Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.
