Shares of global airline American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) jumped 5.2% in the morning session after Jefferies upgraded the stock's rating from Hold to Buy. The firm cited "a strong outlook for 2025 driven by strategic factors such as higher total revenue per available seat mile (TRASM) and a favorable industry backdrop.
