Former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon is expected in a Manhattan court on Tuesday following discussions between his lawyers and prosecutors over a possible plea deal to resolve a criminal case over his crowdfunding campaign for the U.

Bannon admitted to one count of scheming to defraud in the first degree stemming from the proposed construction of a private U.S.-Mexico border wall.

Trump's longtime ally and former advisor was accused of duping donors who gave money towards building a wall along the U.S. southern border.
