North Carolina coach Hubert Davis revealed significant changes are likely coming to his program as part of a philosophical pivot on staff construction. Most notably, Davis said the Tar Heels will hire a general manager.

Davis, on his weekly radio show, stresses need for additional support staff to help him concentrate more on his primary job: coaching the team.

Davis also receives an annual expense allowance of $50,000 to be used for entertainment and “other appropriate purposes to advance the program,” $500,000 annually as part of North Carolina’s multimedia rights agreement with Learfield Communications and $250,000 per year from the school’s deal with Nike.
