Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a shockingly good anime spin-off that proved not all video game transmedia projects are destined for mediocrity. So maybe it’s not surprising that Netflix and Cyberpunk 2077 maker CD Projekt Red are back to tease a new collaboration that will let fans return to Night City for another neon-fueled adventure.

Netflix and CD Projekt have confirmed that they're collaborating on a new Cyberpunk animated project set in Night City via a teaser.

CD Projekt Red and Netflix first collaborated on Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which debuted in September 2022 to acclaim from fans and critics alike. It even helped fuel more interest back to Cyberpunk 2077, and fans were clamoring for a second season.

Netflix is heading back to Night City. We just don’t know when. We don’t even know what the streamer is going to do when it returns there. And we definitely don’t know if this new animated story is connected to the site’s previous anime series set in the video game world.
