The California Highway Patrol arrested a man for allegedly brandishing a weapon during an apparent road rage incident on Interstate 80 in Emeryville last month.

Officers came across the Tahoe at the intersection of I-75 and East Front Street, according to authorities. Police conducted a traffic stop at East Elm Avenue, where they arrested the SUV's 63-year-old male driver and his 58-year-old female passenger. Investigators said they also recovered two loaded handguns.

Troopers said they received three reports from motorists who claimed that a man either threatened them or approached their vehicle and kicked it on the highway.

A suburban man was convicted of attempted murder for shooting at a woman during a 2022 road rage incident in Hanover Park. Prosecutors say Murry fired multiple shots at the victim's vehicle at two different locations before following her to the police station, where he was arrested.
