KATHMANDU, Nepal (AP) — Flooding caused by continuous rainfall has killed at least 32 people in Nepal’s capital, and another 12 are reported missing, police said Saturday. Seventeen people were injured while 1,053 were rescued across Kathmandu. It has been raining continuously since Friday night and that is expected to continue over the weekend.

This casualty figure includes deaths from floods and landslides in the Kathmandu Valley, where 21 people lost their lives, according to Shailendra Thapa, Joint Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF).
