Miami Heat president Pat Riley has heard enough of the Jimmy Butler trade rumors. One day after ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported Butler prefers a trade out of Miami, Riley issued a blunt statement through the Heat’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

If Jimmy Butler wants a trade, the Miami Heat have no plans to make him happy. Heat President Pat Riley — in a rare move — spoke out to address rumors Thursday, saying the team has no plans to trade Butler.

Over the past few weeks, much has been made about whether the Miami Heat would trade star forward Jimmy Butler. After NBA insider Shams Charania first reported that Miami was open to dealing Butler, the star forward's agent completely pushed back on it all.
