Gunfire early Saturday in downtown Minneapolis left two people dead and three wounded, police said, in one of at least three shootings after midnight that injured people across the city.

Two men are dead after a mass shooting in downtown Minneapolis that also left two teenage girls and a woman with gunshot wounds. Minneapolis Police Department says multiple fights broke out near the intersection of 5th Street South and Hennepin Avenue – an area home to several bars and nightclubs – shortly before 2 a.m., with gunfire then erupting.
