After a pass interference call set up the Buffs' offense at Baylor's 2-yard line, CU quarterback Shedeur Sanders faked a handoff to freshman running back Micah Welch before taking it in himself. The first-quarter score gave Colorado an early 7-3 lead over the Bears, who soon answered with a touchdown drive of their own.
