Atishi sworn in as Delhi's eighth Chief Minister, succeeding Arvind Kejriwal, vows to continue AAP's policies until elections.

Along with her, five other ministers of AAP were sworn in and will be part of Delhi’s cabinet. These include Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat

BJP leaders on Saturday extended their best wishes to Atishi on taking oath as chief minister of Delhi but said the people would not gain anything from the face change and they have no expectation from the AAP government.

In her first remarks after taking oath, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi hit out at the BJP on Saturday for hatching a "conspiracy" against her predecessor Arvind Kejriwal and urged the people of the capital to ensure that the AAP national convenor returns to the top post again after the Assembly polls due early next year.

As the eighth chief minister of Delhi, senior AAP leader Atishi was administered oath by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday at Raj Niwas. She is now Delhi's third woman chief minister after Congress' Sheila Dikshit and BJP's Sushma Swaraj.

Atishi Marlena took oath as Delhi's third woman chief minister, drawing criticism from BJP leaders who labeled her a 'dummy CM' under Arvind Kejriwal's control. Despite this, Atishi must address key issues and implement important policies ahead of the assembly elections scheduled for February next year.
